Q:  Will rain reduce the effectiveness of my service?

Typically very little to not at all.  Most homes in the Northwest have eaves.  When it rains there is a dry band all the way around most homes in the exact areas we need to treat.  This dry zone extends out about a foot and a half and goes all the way up most homes to the area under those overhanging eaves.  In our area rain is rarely a downpour.  We can also often treat homes between episodes of drizzle.  Our materials are not easily washed off once applied - often needing soap, applied pressure, or power washing to remove. It is in our best interest to treat your home as effectively as possible.  We stand behind our services with a service warranty.

Q:  Why do I need more than one service?

For some pests, like rodents, we come back because of local or state agencies, and because we want to do a quality job and not waste your money.  The Dept. of Agriculture requires that we remove rodent control materials we put out, including traps and/or baits.  Follow-up inspections help ensure that we found all the rodent access points and can help to keep you from experiencing unpleasant odors.

For some pests we come back because the pest does. Today's ultra low toxicity control materials only last a few months at the most.  Some insects, especially ants, put down chemical trails that lead related ants right back to your door steps - as soon as our control materials begin to fade. These ant produced chemical trails can take years to dissolve - and that's if related ants stop following the trails and reinforcing them.

Q:  Why treat homes in the winter?

Some pests such as spiders are active all year round.  Some types of ants may be inactive for parts of the winter depending on what type of weather we experience, but on any given year we have temperatures that allow for ant atcivity as late as the end of November and as early as the middle of January.  We are in the position of having to warrant your home regardless of weather.  One service we try to preform for ant customers in the winter is the treatment of attic or sub area voids.  This treatment takes as long as an exterior treatment, is just as valuable as an exterior treatment, and lasts throughout the upcoming season.  It also allows us to warrant your home as it ensures that we are doing our utmost to provide the best possible service for your home and your pest control needs.
